As one of nu metal's more savvy veterans, Papa Roach understands that commercial relevancy in the 21st century means adding touches of electronic music and pop metalcore to their sound. But while F.E.A.R. isn't as bold a transformation as Korn's The Paradigm Shift, numerous cuts, including "Face Everything and Rise," "Falling Apart, " "Love Me Till It Hurts" and "Warriors," should surprise (and possibly challenge) the band's longtime fans. But no worries: Papa Roach opted to hedge their bets by also recording a few older style "rawk" jams like "Fear Hate Love" and "Hope for the Hopeless."
